Class Activity
Brainstorming Ideas
In pairs of groups, take turns discussing your ideas (spend about 15 minutes on each group). Make sure to give both warm and cool feedback, and consider the following questions in particular. It might help to take notes!
During this process, remember to be creative and critical! It helps no one if you sugarcoat or aren't 100% honest. But also remember that honest doens't mean disrespectful.
- What is the problem this app is trying to solve?
- Does this product solve the stated problem? Does it solve any other problems? (Maybe there are other problems that this product is better for!)
- Where will this product fit into the lives of users?
- What are the concerns you as a user, or a hypothetical user, would have?
- If you were a user, would you actually use this product? If so, what would you give up to use it? If not, why not? Lack or resources? Lack of time?
- Does their market research seem sound? Do you know of any competing products?
- Discuss together: what are some possible launch strategies? What partnerships would you need to establish?
